If your idea of ‘indie’ is more twee sentiments of love and less raucous rock n roll rowdiness then Indietracks is your absolute must attend for the summer.

IndietracksThere is no lovelier event over the summer, set amongst the grounds of a steam railway museum and boasting the best in indie-pop talent from across the world, it’s like a twee village-fete.

This year the event is topped by critically-acclaimed 4ad signings Camera Obscura, and newly re-formed indie legends the Pastels. Scottish purveyors of bubble-gum, indie-rock bis and cult band Helen Love join them.

Across the two days you can enjoy sets from Haiku Salut whose mesmerizingly inventive debut turned critics heads earlier this year, The Wake, The Lovely Eggs, Milky Wimpshake and The Wave Pictures amongst many others.

So, great indie-pop bands and steam train rides for just £72 for the whole weekend – what’s not to love?
