After last year’s celebration of sporting talent at the Olympic Park, 2013 sees it as the home of a celebration of a different kind – POP!
And you’ll not find a bigger mainstream pop line-up this summer – the list reads like a commercial radio who’s who – Jay Z, Justin Timberlake, Emeli Sande, Calvin Harris, Rita Ora, Kesha and Conor Maynard are all taking to the stage.
A smattering on dance and urban acts plug the gaps between the pure pop with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Frank Ocean, Sub Focus, DJ Fresh, Devlin and Iggy Azalea bringing a different flavour to proceedings.
The first two days are now sold out, but it is the third day that is bringing something special to East London. How does Jay Z and Justin Timberlake performing a special set together take your fancy? How about a set from reformed hip hop legends A Tribe Called Quest? Sounds good, right?
And further performances from Jessie Ware, Nas, ASAP Rocky, Magnetic Man and Rizzle Kicks and you have one brilliant day of music. Oh, and some bloke called WILL.I..AM (you may have heard of him) is a special guest!
