Festival Preview: Farr 2013
You probably haven’t heard of Farr festival – and believe it or not, they like that. Farr revels in its underground status.
Farr takes place in a deserted wood in Hertfordshire, and you get the sense that it doesn’t really want to be found.
This is only its third year and it clearly takes pride in its line-up consisting almost exclusively of fresh new talent and top underground DJs. Taking place from 19-21 July, Farr’s location in the empty forest along with idyllic cornfields to stroll through really benefits from the sunshine.
Being such a young festival, Farr is improving year on year, and 2013 will be no exception. New security and showers are being brought in, along with a lot more toilets and a brand new green grass camping area.
The music is set to sound better too, with the installation of a new large sound wall giving live performances that extra oomph.
Events promoters from up and down the country are converging on Farr this year, from Flux in Leeds to Eats Everything in Bristol.
Tickets are available from their website, but don’t tell anyone except your really cool mates about it. Farr is small, exclusive, and want to remain that way for the foreseeable future.
Line-up: Flux, Jackmaster, Eats Everything, Ben Pearce, The Other Tribe.
