New Band of the Day: Black & Blunt
Share This Article:
Packing a punch with heaps of attitude, Australian dubstep duo Black & Blunt burst onto the scene with their dynamic take on the genre. Fresh from successes in the beatport chart, and slots at Creamfields and Parklife in 2012 the duo are set to drop their latest dubstep epic 'Wandering Strangers' on the brilliant underground breaks label Ground Level. An anthemic dubstep track with screeching synth, rap vocals and an incredibly catchy beat, it announces to the dubstep world that it better step aside and watch and learn as they showcase explosive personalities that dubstep arists often lack. As dubstep experienced a decline towards the end of 2012, Black & Blunt make it clear that all that was lacking was a little bit of attitude thrown into the mix to combat the samey sounds that it has often been criticised for. Let's hope they have more where this came from in the coming months and perhaps those drifters from the genre might realise what they've been missing.
