London’s LazyTalk are a promising band that fuse reggae, indie, ska and punk with a sound that draws from the likes of Jamie T and The Metros.

Debut single 'Luzaville' is a gritty song that draws you into the heart of the world of LazyTalk, telling a tale of drink, drugs and excess in inner city London. The track has a rough, live feel to it that is both simplistic and catchy, suiting the band perfectly.

Another of the band’s stand out tunes is ‘Ring Ring’, a song about the band’s objection to the commercialisation of music. An understated guitar riff provides the background for the vocals of front-man Pete Robinson, who provides a wealth of infectious vocal lines.

Since the disappearance of Jamie T, there has been a yearning for exactly the kind of music LazyTalk are offering, and it would come as no surprise if the band go on to enjoy the same level of success.

With their debut EP  ‘Luzaville’ out this week the band are making a big step into fulfilling their great potential.
