Named after a road in Chicago, Rue Royale are an Anglo-American folk duo who started playing in the Chicago suburb that inspired their name.
Influenced by the likes of Fleetwood Mac, John Martyn, and northern soul, their sound is not only distinctive, it is beautifully constructed with deceptively complex vocals and percussive arrangements.
Over the years, Rue Royal have played over 350 shows across Europe and the US, building up an incredible fanbase which sees them regularly selling out shows across the Netherlands, France and Germany.
The popularity of both their live shows and two albums, both self-released, has led to airplay on MTV and radio in the US and as well as BBC 6music and XFM in the UK, topping their weekly “Music Response” ballot.
Their second album, Guide To An Escape, was officially release by Sinnbus earlier this year. Now the busy duo are set to release a new single and an EP next month.
'Say Now Would You' is coupled with a remix for this single provided by Julien Barthes aka Plaisir De France.
Having provided remixes for Need No Water artists This Is The Kit, Rozi Plain and Catriona Irving’s Sitting On The Shelf, Plaisir De France is no stranger to need to know artists.

Along with the release of their single and EP the duo are going to be touring their melodic folk sound around the UK.
