Mystery Jets, Miles Kane and Pulled Apart by Horses are set to perform at a fundraising event in aid of disability awareness.
The ABLE2UK Concert, promoted by Metropolis Music and Coda Agency, will take place at Camden’s Roundhouse on August 20th.
Money raised from the concert will go towards improving disabled facilities across UK festivals.
Founder Howard Thorpe said: “Having cerebral palsy myself, it saddens me that to date, I cannot name any live music event dedicated to disability. “Disabled people still face discrimination albeit offending remarks in public or, even worse, those who do not understand the vast achievements most disabled people are capable of.” Other acts on the bill include Frank Turner and Ocean Colour Scene guitarist Steve Craddock. Hollywood actor and producer Mark Wahlberg has also commissioned a special film piece in support of the cause. Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday at 9am, priced at £30.00.
