As if there isn’t enough happening around the capital to get you excited this summer, Eastern Electrics is back for a fifth year bringing another all-day, all-out, sunshine-fuelled party.
Set in London’s Docklands the festival fills one main stage and four tents with an array of thrilling underground electronic music.
Leader of a new guard of house and techno DJs, Jamie Jones is a Eastern Electrics favourite and not to be missed. He is joined by the house-meets-bass shenanigans of Julio Bashmore and Joy Orbison’s house-fused bass productions.
Elsewhere ravers can enjoy the groove-based house sound of Maceo Plex ( a top tip for 2012), the sound of the Hamburg underground Tensnake with this woozy concoction of disco, house and electro-funk, Dusky’s progressive sounds.
Eastern Electrics is working with some of the most progressive and creative club brands on this festival. FOUND and Return to the Future vs TRIX, Eastern Electrics, 2020Vision, Futureboogie Recordings vs Hands on Decks, Black Atlantic and Krankbrother all host arenas.Having launched in August 2008, Eastern Electrics has since hosted three block-rocking events each year. The brainchild of two of London’s most prolific and talented club personalities – mulletover promoter and pub owner Rob Star and FOUND and Hidden man Will Paterson, Eastern Electrics is renowned for high production levels and massive genre-busting line-ups. After four years of innovative lineups, collaborative promotion and rammed events, it was only a matter of time before Eastern Electrics looked forward to their next step, taking the party up a level, with an event that looks set to surpass everything that’s come before it. Expect this to be London’s best summer party!
