I recently caught the Twilight Sad on two legs of their recent tour (they were absolutely brilliant btw!) but what also stood out was their support Let's Wrestle. The Londoners weren't as 'slick' as the Twilight Sad were but their ramshackle, slacker rock ethos ultimately won them the crowd. In Manchester, I heard one crowd member say: "OMG, I HAVE TO FIND WHO THESE GUYS ARE!" You only have to listen to tracks like 'I'm So Lazy' or 'For My Mother' (both reminscent of Sheffield's Standard Fare) to see the appeal. The former is a tale about a man so lazy, he can't even be bothered to move from his bed whilst the latter takes a more serious turn dealing with a family death. The band continue to support the Twilight Sad through the rest of their tour.
