With their cheery indie-pop, the Musgraves are one to watch this year. A band championed by the likes omusgravesf Graham Norton and Q magazine, the Birmingham based outfit are set to take 2012 by storm.  Bursting with joy and shamelessly catchy hooks, The Musgraves are the UK’s answer to fun.

Debut single 'The Last of Me' is a piano-led track that is upbeat and charming with the song making the most of lead singer Matthew Bennett’s impressive vocals.

With its 60s pop influences, the single sets itself apart from other bands in the genre, and is simply pop done properly.

'So Sofia' is another highlight; it is effortlessly infectious with a chorus that will have you undoubtedly have you singing along. It is brimming with an energy that has been cleverly crafted and displaying the bands talents. With its hand claps and cheery chants 'So Sofia' has rightly caught the attention of many in the music industry.

In a genre where many acts are manufactured and lacking substance, the Musgraves are encouragingly genuine and individual. Expect big things from this band.
