With the cold, desolate winter firmly making itself known, there's a heightened need for warm, summer nostalgia. Having come together through singer and producer Isaac Emmanuel's travels from Australia to New York, Young Magic create music which evokes a bright treaclely pallete. There's something about the rickety tribal drums, vacant moans and wandering melodies of 'Sparkly' which conjures those warm summers, lazing around and having nothing to worry about. 'Sparkly' will feature on their full-length debut melt and it promises to provide the same velveteen comfort. It's an ambitious project which is comprised of records from ten different countries and should provide one of the more idiosyncratic listens of 2012.
