A music and literature festival will take place in Lancashire this weekend, the 9th and 10th of July.
The Cloudspotting Festival, to be held at the Aspinal Arms Country Pub in Mitton, near Clitheroe, is promising its guests ‘music, literature and fine beer’. Entertainment will come from compere Mark Mace Smith, as well as Preston Word Soup performers Rachel McGladdery and Trev Meaney, who will be on stage on Saturday evening.
Various bands, musicians and DJs, from both the local area and further afield, will be appearing throughout the weekend. They will be split between two live stages, one of which is outside while the other is inside.
Lancashire Writing Hub will also be providing performers for Saturday night.
The festival is being dubbed as a celebration of ‘real ale, fine wine, good food and glorious, great British camping’, in a beautiful riverside location.
The Aspinal Arms has brewed over 900 bottles of its own specially designed ‘Cloudspotter’ beer for the occasion.
Children are allowed into the festival for free, and there are workshops and activities provided for them throughout the weekend.
All camping is on site, with day tickets being sold for £17.50 and weekend tickets for £30. Weekend camping tickets are available for £40. 200 tickets are available from spottingclouds@gmail.com
Cloudspotting donates 10% of its profits to the Solomon Project.
