The off-beat rhythm of the start of ‘Photoshop Handsome’ leads into the rise and fall in pitch of lead singer Jonathan’s voice - the whole thing becoming a fusion of trippy synthesisers and backing vocals.
Though there’s not as much angst as in the likes of the instrumentals in ‘Suffragette Suffragette’, it’s good to have a light-hearted feel to what appears to be a similarly light-hearted topic – let’s face it: having our photos edited beyond recognition of what they were originally is hardly a pressing matter, but it is refreshing to see a band at last not taking themselves too seriously.
