Now in its sixth year Wychwood Festival is now firmly established as one of the most eclectic events on the festival circuit.

Once again the event has secured some classic indie big-hitters to head up the proceedings. Friday sees grebbo, indie-folksters The Levellers, whist Saturday boasts Madchester hell-raisers The Happy Mondays and The Lightening Seeds. Sunday has a set from acclaimed folk-musician Seth Lakeman.

Elsewhere the remainder of the bill is typically eclectic taking in the brilliant 2-tone sounds of Pauline Black (from The Selecter), Dreadzone and their fusion of dance, dub and folk, King Creasote, critcally acclaimed group The Leisure Society, Goldheart Assembly and The South (formerly the Beautiful South.) With loads more already on the bill (and to be added) there is something to satisfy.

A great comedy line-up also takes in some of the best (and funniest) performers on the circuit including Robin Ince, Pete Johansson and Ray Peacock, and the numerous workshops and cinema offers much more than music.

Whilst not offering the names big on the student music scene, what Wychwood does offer is an eclectic and mind-expanding mix of world-wide sounds in a friendly, laid-back atmosphere sounds good to us.

Bands: The Levellers, The Happy Mondays, The Lightening Seeds, Seth Lakeman, Pauline Black, Dreadzone, Goldheart Assembly, The Leisure Society.
