A Saudi woman, who is reportedly called Khulood, has posted a video of herself on Snapchat wearing a miniskirt and crop top in public, and is now being investigated by the country’s religious police.

In this video she is walking through a historic site in Ushayqir, which is one of the country’s most conservative provinces.

She instantly received backlash for her choice of outfit, with many calling for her to be arrested for breaking the country’s dress code. Women in Saudi Arabia are required to wear the abaya, which is a loose-fitting and full length robe, as well as headscarves.

Many are saying she needs to respect the laws and customs of the country, and should face the consequences for going out in public in an outfit breaking these laws.

While she has received mostly backlash, some have come to her defence.
