"Nothing has really happened until it has been described" - Virginia Woolf

For International Women's Day, I was asked to select some work screaming what it means to be a woman to me. I've chosen to share two series about what people say.

A woman's experience

Maternity, Microgynon and Cavern Men are deft line drawings from experience. Comments made in front of me or to me. Microgynon being the 'go-to' thing for my doctor to prescribe me for my skin, and anything else, from the age of 14.

Boys and girls

After a conversation with family members regarding the expected interests of girls and boys, I found myself staying quiet even though I did not agree because I don't have children.
