Microsoft certainly had a lot to talk about and show off at E3, here is a comprehensive rundown of everything they announced.

Project Scarlett

Although Microsoft has disregarded plans for a new console in the past, Project Scarlett was revealed to be their new console releasing in the holiday of 2020. On a technical level, the console is touted to be capable of up to 8K resolutions, 120 frames-per-second, ray-tracing, and up to 40x faster load times thanks to new Solid State Drive technology. Much like Project Scorpio was renamed to the Xbox One X, Project Scarlett will likely receive a name change before launch.

Game Pass

Xbox Game Pass is a new addition to the Game Pass line-up and will curate over 100 games that will be available with the pass via the Microsoft Store. It will start at $5 per month while it is in open beta, before going up to $10 per month once all of the games are added to the service by September. Game Pass Ultimate, which currently combines Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live into one $15 subscription, will receive Xbox Game Pass for PC at no extra charge.
