With June approaching, it brings with it a new collection of video games to entertain the masses. Here at the top six games, we are looking forward to playing the most in the upcoming month! The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset June 5 (Xbox One, PS4, PC) An expansion to the well loved Elder Scrolls Online, Summerset will give the player new stories to play through, new characters to meet, and a new land to explore that hasn’t been explored before. From what has been released so far, the majority of the story in Summerset will follow the borders to the town being opened and the reactions of those who aren’t exactly happy about that. From this, we are prepared for a story that is oddly relatable to our time. For hardcore Skyrim fans, this is number one game of the month for you! Vampyr June 5 (Xbox One, PS4, PC) Vampyr is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by Life Is Strange’s Dontnod Entertainment. You play as a Jonathan Reid, a doctor who has recently been turned into a vampire as he comes to terms with his new life. The game is supposed to be morally grey, having the player and the character of Reid deal with the difficult choices that come from being stuck between a Hippocratic Oath and a newfound bloodlust. Player choice is key, affecting the setting (London) and characters as well as the plot you are playing through. We are preparing ourselves for some tough decisions with this one! LEGO The Incredibles June 15 (Xbox One, PS4, PC, Switch) In preparation for the upcoming sequel to our favourite Pixar superhero movie, The Incredibles, LEGO is releasing a game to accompany. Expect breaking blocks, stud collecting and fun for the whole family. Whether this is a gift to a younger family member or something you plan to play co-operatively with your friends, one thing is guaranteed – it’s going to be so much fun! Mario Tennis Aces June 22 (Switch) Once again, Nintendo is releasing a Mario game into the world. This time, Mario and his friends have taken to the tennis court to battle it out. There are more than 15 playable characters, each with their own unique styles and characteristics that can make the game individualised to your wants. You can play with up to 4 of your friends in your room or using the online service. The online service will also allow you to enter competitions and compete with the best of the best. The game will also have a Swing Mode option, meaning that you can really get into the tennis spirit! The Lost Child June 22 (PS4, PS4 Vita, Switch) Now we love JRPGs and The Lost Child joins the long history of the genre. The player will take follow an occult journalist, Hayato Ibuki as he investigates a series of mysterious suicides in Tokyo. During this, he encounters a strange girl who gives him with a device that allows him to capture celestial and arcane creatures. Thrust into a new world of nightmarish monsters, he must navigate a dungeon known as Layers and solve the mystery of the device. Expect an expansive world with side quests up to your ears when you pick up this one! Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus June 29 (Switch) The Switch has been adding more and more games to its roster, not just through new releases but through re-releases of old classics. The next one to join is Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. Far from the usual Nintendo family-friendly style, Wolfenstein is well known for his brutal gameplay and heavy plot set in a world where the Nazi’s were winning World War II. We are super excited for this one because it gives us a new excuse to replay an old favourite.
