If there's one thing us Brits like as much as a good old chippie takeaway - it's a gin and tonic to wash it down with, and Sarsons Vinegar and Poppies Fish and Chips have had the ingenious idea to combine the two. Taking the quintessential G&T and mixing it up with a twist of vinegar puts a fresh (and tasty) spin on a classic beverage.
It might not sound like your thing, but everything is worth a try, right? And that's why Poppies are giving away the cocktails for free on Friday, so that you have a chance to try them out.

Unfortunately, the free cocktails are only available in London - but if you can't get to the capital to try out the concoction, then it's easy enough to make at home following this recipe:
Vin & Tonic method:
- 25ml Gin - 15ml dry Vermouth - Juice of half a lemon - 25ml Sarson’s shrub
To make the shrub:
- 250ml Sarson's Malt Vinegar
