Frozen food is a student staple, a way of life, and Asda has changed the game.

Behold, bacon flavoured skin-on fries!

Bags of the new food creation are located in the frozen section and will only set you back £1.50 per pack.

Each bag contains 500g worth of chips. This works out to be four portions, although it completely depends on how hungry you are.

The fries, which are said to be extra crunchy, are also suitable for vegetarians despite the bacon flavour - so everyone can rejoice!

Asda's new bacon fries will take 18 minutes to cook from frozen, perfect for impatient and hungover students.

They are available to buy in store and online now.

The chips have been infused with smoke flavouring, onion powder and other ingredients to create the bacon flavour, hence why they are suitable for vegetarians.

And with bacon being one of the most popular flavours in the UK, it's not hard to see why Asda have jumped on the trend - so expect these to be exceptionally popular!
