Oh, hey you - it’s Valentine’s week, and whether you’re spending it with your significant other or your best pals we’re fairly sure you deserve to throw in a few treats.

We are here for you in this regard, as always, with a whole bunch of delectable recipes - including peanut butter fudge, red velvet brownies, and a particularly special spiced chocolate orange fondue. Hooray!

If you remember one thing this week, it’s that you accept the puddings you think you deserve - and you definitely deserve these. So get baking.

(NB: the vast majority of these recipes are vegetarian.)

Peanut butter fudge

Featuring what is quite possibly our favourite collection of words, this tray-bake recipe is one that you can take out of the oven and carve up for all your faves. We’re pretty sure they’ll love you even more for it.

Chocolate caramel tart

This is a classic - and also, look how aesthetically shiny it is. This is one for your Instagram feed as well as for your mouth. #Yum.

Red velvet brownies

We’ll never get sick of the taste of red velvet, in all honesty. Whoever invented it deserves a medal. This recipe is another one that’s great for sharing, but we’ll forgive you if you don’t want to - self-love is important too, after all.

Crackle cookies

Bite into these Oreo-coloured cookies and they’ll start oozing a brownie-esque centre - which is really all we need to say about this, we think.

White chocolate and raspberry blondies

A lighter version of the humble brownie, with an added bit of fruit. Raspberries with white chocolate still count as a portion, right? Right.

Chocolate and strawberry fingers

Co-op suggests that you nibble on these romantic little treats whilst snuggled on the sofa. We agree wholeheartedly with this, and think they’d go very well alongside Notting Hill and a big glass of white wine. Evening sorted.

Spiced red wine brownies

Kind of Christmassy, but we’ve heard nothing about festive spices out of season being bad luck so we’ll definitely take the risk.

Avocado, chocolate and chilli pots

This one is made with almost entirely Fairtrade products, so you can be safe in the knowledge that your little chocolate pots are made from ethically sourced ingredients whilst you’re slurping them up.

Chocolate peanut butter tart

We love the peanut-coloured criss-cross aesthetic on the top of these tarts. Pretty sure they taste great too. You’ll probably want to check yourself to make sure we’re right, though.

Rhubarb syllabub

No, we don’t know what a syllabub is either. But it doesn’t particularly matter - whatever it is, it’s quick, it’s easy, and it’s very, very British.

Mini chocolate coconut macaroons

Macaroons have a reputation for being fiddly to make, but it’s definitely not true in this case - in fact you can have them ready in half an hour, which is probably the length of time it’ll take whomever you’re baking them for to get the bus to your house. No excuses, then.

White chocolate clusters

Absolute retro winner here. Have a nostalgic trip down memory lane, to the days of school bake sale rice crispy cakes and gooey, melted chocolate in a pan on your mum’s hob. So quick and easy that a child could do it, which they quite frequently have.

Spiced chocolate orange fondue

Now, we know that some people aren’t a fan of chocolate and orange together - but quite frankly (my dear) we don’t understand it and we don’t give a damn. It’s the best culinary combination ever and you need it.

White chocolate mousse

The white chocolate mousse makes us think of a 90s dinner party (no, we’re not sure why either) - but everything was a bit more simple then, so let’s roll with it and get the chocolate melting. It’s a little pot of love, honestly.

Mini fruit and jam tarts

Still retro. Kind of reminds us of Jammie Dodgers. Great all around, and (much like Jammie Dodgers themselves) you can stick any leftovers in a lunchbox and take them to school/work/lectures/anywhere else you happen to go for days afterwards. Share the love <3
