Foodies rejoice! It's the new year and with that comes a whole batch of new restaurants openings across the UK.
Not sure where? Well, we've rounded up some exciting new openings for all you food lovers to check out, showing you where you can try some delicious new meals and eat your way through 2019.
1. The Marram Grass, Liverpool

Those who have read our sustainable restaurant guide will already be familiar with this restaurant in Anglesey, however, brothers Liam and Ellis Barrie are following on from the huge success of their restaurant and are opening a second one in Liverpool. The new establishment, which will be located at the Albert Dock, sees the brothers return to their roots. Exact details about the opening are limited but expect this new restaurant to open a little later in 2019. 2. Dishroom, Manchester

This chain has several restaurants in London and Edinburgh already, but it will be expanding by opening its first site in Manchester later this month. The restaurant will follow the others by paying homage to the Irani cafes of Bombay and will serve similar menus to them. So, expect to see its famous bacon naan rolls. 3. Stem & Glory, London

Cambridge's popular vegan restaurant is heading to London for a new city takeover. From January 14th the new restaurant will be based at Old Street and will be offering a plant-based menu to eager Londoners. Perfect for veganuary. With everything freshly prepared in this restaurant, this promises to be one of the most exciting new openings of the year. 4. Vapiano, London

The popular Italian food chain is doubling its London presence to six throughout 2018. This is following on from the successful launch in Glasgow. The first of the three new restaurants will open this month at the massive redeveloped Centre Point landmark on Tottenham Court Road. The second new restaurant will open at Canary Wharf and the third and biggest one of all will open at Tower Bridge (right near The National Student HQ, no less.) 5. The FoodWell, Manchester

This new Italian restaurant has been launched by Aktar Islam, who not too long ago launched his upmarket Indian restaurant in Birmingham. It boasts a wood fired oven and a concise menu for customers. With two different pastas being made fresh every day and with a huge amount of flavour in every dish, this looks to be a another hit for Aktar. 7. Pensons, Herefordshire

Pensons is a new rural restaurant and the brainchild of chef Lee Westcott and Peta Darnley. The menu is inspired by the countryside and fresh local produce. Housed in the newly restored farm buildings on the Netherwood Estate that go back centuries and with a guest house located on site, this restaurant promises a cool and calm atmosphere. 8. Planned for the High Street in Cardiff, this Cuban restaurant will see a fusion menu of both Cuban and tapas style food. Old Havana will also offer Cuban cocktails, wines, spirits and beers. It will be the first of two to open and the launch night is booked for February 1st. 9. Dusty Knuckle, Cardiff

It's the second venue from this award winning enterprise, which is run by husband and wife duo Phill and Deb Lewis. Located at Warden's House in the city centre, it will be opening early spring this year. The pizzas are wood fired and fresh ingredients are used for every pizza. 10. Federal Cafe Bar, Manchester

This Australian and New Zealand inspired restaurant will serve dishes such as acai bowls, corn fritters and everyone's favourite, avocado on toast. The new site will stay open into the evenings and host pop up supper clubs and kitchen takeovers. A more contemporary bar, it's hoped this new opening will add even more life to the already busy streets around Deansgate. Inspired by this list?
