Yep, you read that right. The world's first alcohol free brewery has opened - and it's right here in London. The Nirvana Brewery is in Leyton, East London and currently brews two dry beers which can already be bought in Borough Wine, Eat17 and We Bought Beer. Alcohol-free beer is currently the largest growing sector in the beer industry, with more and more people choosing to drink a dry version - whether they be a designated driver, not drinking for health reasons or simply... just don't like alcohol. The Kosmic Stout: Dark and rich with deep aromas of chocolate and hints of vanilla, all well balanced by a smooth toasted malt base. Tantra: Traditional English pale ale made with lightly roasted barley, giving a caramel malt body that is balanced with a lingering crisp hop bitterness. They are looking now to start brewing alcohol free versions of Stouts and IPAs, following the same standards of craftsmanship associated with craft beers and bringing some flavour back into the non-alcoholic beer market. Nirvana even host 'beer yoga' sessions called 'Mats and Yats' in the surroundings of the brewery every Thursday, which is then followed by a tasting of the craft beers and vegetarian Indian snacks. There's even a goody bag and everything - learn more on their Twitter.
