Millennial pink is taking over, from trainers to toasters everything seems to be turning pink and now iconic gin brand Gordon’s has turned pink, too.

The brand has launched a ‘Premium Pink Distilled Gin’ which is currently being sold in Tesco supermarkets.

Gordon's say their new pink tipple “has been created to offer a sweeter and more accessible way to enjoy a gin and tonic.”

The alcoholic beverage has been inspired by an original recipe from the 1880s and is flavoured with raspberries, strawberries, and tangy redcurrants.

With its fruity hues, this brand new gin is sure to be incredibly popular at summer parties, what's more given that it’s millennial pink, you can expect to see it all over your Instagram feed, too.

What exactly is millennial pink though? Well, according to The Guardian “It’s sort of a grapefruit shade of apricotty salmon.”

Millennial pink is without a doubt the most in-demand colour right now, however, it's much more than a simple colour-trend. This particular shade of pink has been enjoying a steady rise in popularity since 2012 and it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere fast.

As Refinery29 puts it: "Millennial Pink isn't just a colour, it's a lifestyle, a state of being, one which has thoroughly saturated our cultural consciousness."
