Dirty Bones, a restaurant located in Soho on Denham Street, have started providing Instagram kits to improve the pictures of their food taken by customers.
Posting pictures of your food on social media has become a fairly common practice in recent years. There are apps specifically for taking photos of food and entire Instagram accounts dedicated to food.
This restaurant, which serves New York City inspired comfort food and cocktails, has decided to help its customers take the best possible photos of their food.
As of July 5, the free “Instagram Pack” has been added to Dirty Bones' menu. Upon request, the customer will receive the pack that includes a portable LED camera light, a multi-device charger, a clip-on wide angle camera lens and a tripod selfie stick for over the table shots.
A Dirty Bones spokesperson told Today that there has been an increase in requests for the kit since it has received some attention in the UK media. They have also noticed a general improvement in the qualities of the pictures on the “Dirty Bones Soho” location tag, including better lighting and angles.
It was also confirmed that the entire restaurant was actually designed with Instagram in mind. They wanted a “post-industrial chic vibe” for the interior. The restaurant has an antique bookshelf that covers floor to ceiling and neon signs, both of which have already proved popular on Instagram.
The menu was also created with Instagram in mind, with the intention of creating photo-worthy food. Some of their items recently trending are the fish tacos, the Mac Daddy burger and the cheeseburger dumplings. They also have many brightly coloured cocktails.
