Herman Ze German to launch new home in Fitzrovia

Charlotte Street is to welcome London’s favourite bratwurst aficionados, when Herman Ze German opens its third restaurant at the beginning of October. The ‘authentic German sausage shop’ is to open its third outpost to the public on 2nd October in Fitzrovia, where it will be serving up its famed selection of Bratwurst, Chilli Beef and Bockwurst – plus, of course, its most popular creation, the Currywurst. Herman Ze German also offers up various sides, including salad, air-fried chips, sauerkraut and Schni-Po-Salad, as well as a selection of rare German beers to wash it down. There’s also a rumour that a vegan wurst will be debuting at the Charlotte Street venue – but we’ll have to wait and see about that. A press launch is to take place on the evening of 1st October, before doors officially open the following day. Gluten-free and free range, all Herman Ze German’s creations are inspired by and sourced from the Black Forest, which founders Florian and Azi have visited since they were children. The Charlotte Street restaurant will also be opening its doors just in time for Oktoberfest, something we’ll raise our stein to. Herman Ze German started out in Brighton six years ago before branching out various music festivals and then to London, and its debut restaurant on Villiers Street. A second sausage parlour came last summer on Old Compton Street in Soho (pictured), and this opening continues in Herman’s quest to bring “delicious, authentic, gluten-free sausage to the capital.” Nowhere else in London does sausage quite like Herman (“a proper German”) so we’re pretty excited about this – after all, ze wurst is ze best...
