Legend tells of a lost species, a link between man and beast. In this film, we follow one kind-hearted beast’s grand adventure as he looks for a place to call home.

The trailer begins by setting the story of Sir Lionel Frost (voiced by Hugh Jackman): a brave and dashing adventurer who considers himself to be the world’s foremost investigator of myths and monsters. The trouble is, no one else seems to agree. He sees a chance to prove himself by travelling to America’s Pacific Northwest to discover the world’s most legendary creature - a living remnant of man’s primitive ancestry.

It is there that he discovers Mr. Link (voiced by Zach Galifianakis): the slightly silly, surprisingly smart and soulful beast. As species go, he’s as endangered as they get; possibly the very last of his kind. He believes that Sir Lionel is the one man alive who can help him. Together they set out on a daring quest around the world to seek out Link’s distant relatives in the fabled valley of Shangri-La.

Along with the independent and resourceful Adelina Fortnight (voiced by Zoe Saldana), who is in possession of the only known map to the group’s secret destination, the unlikely trio embarks on a riotous rollercoaster ride of a journey. Along the way, the fearless explorers encounter more than their fair share of peril while dastardly villains seek to thwart their mission.

Through it all, this star-studded cast - featuring the voices of Stephen Fry (The Hobbit), Timothy Olyphant (Little Britain) and Academy Award Winner Emma Thompson - all contribute to Mr. Link’s disarming charm and good-humoured conviction, and help provide the emotional and comedic foundation of this fun-filled family movie.

Missing Link is in cinemas April 5th, 2019
