Marvel have released the first full length trailer for the November release Thor: Ragnarok.

In a real doozy of footage, fans get a good look at many key elements from the upcoming film starring Chris Hemsworth as he takes on both Loki (Tom Hiddleston), the exiled Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Ruler of the Underworld Hera (Cate Blanchett).

The trailer begins with Asgardian somewhat worryingly dangling in chains over a lava world, before breaking-the-fourth-wall to express 'Now I know what you are thinking. How did this happen?' Although it feels a bit cliched considering Deadpool did it first, Hemsworth's comic acting as the God of Thunder must be commended.

Ragnarok isn't going to be a funny film though, the first thirty seconds of the trailer showcases Mjolnir being shattered by Hera, before she declares 'Asgard is dead.' As a firestorm streaks over the planet, Thor finds himself being captured in a net by creatures that look not dissimilar to Jawas on the distant Sakaar.

Hemsworth's hero finds himself face-to-face with the enigmatic Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum) who pits him against others in a gladiatorial arena in a battle to the death- all for his amusement of course. With short hair, a new weapon and shield combo and a thirst for battle, Thor looks to be dominating. Until he encounters his old 'friend from work' of course. Cue the 'Yassssss!'

Yes, the much-loved Planet Hulk comic storyline makes it into the film with the green monster finally set to duke it out with Thor, the latter having always wanted to test his strength against Bruce Banner's alter-ego. He's already conquered one Norse God by dispatching Loki in Avengers Assemble, but Thor is a whole new test for him. And what part does Loki play in this?

Check out the trailer below.

Thor: Ragnarok is released in UK Cinemas 3rd November 2017.
