The second trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming, which will mark the character's solo debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has just been released.

Tom Holland's Spider-Man made his debut in last year's Captain America: Civil War. In Spider-Man: Homecoming, Peter Parker, with the help of his mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), tries to balance his life as an ordinary high school student in Queens, New York City, with fighting crime, as a new threat, The Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges.

The action-packed trailer shows Spidey is eager to join the Avengers, but Tony Stark thinks he should keep his head down and just be a "friendly neighborhood" Spider-Man instead. With The Vulture terrorising the city, Peter refuses to not interfere, which leads to Tony taking away the highly advanced Spider-Man costume he made for him back in Civil War - forcing Peter to confront The Vulture with nothing but his wits and his old homemade Spidey costume.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to UK cinemas on 7th July.
