Alan Rickman has died at the age of 69, and we’re having a very, very difficult time absorbing the news.
The British actor, whose career across stage and screen spanned three decades, died in London “surrounded by friends and family” after battling cancer, according to the Guardian.
This is what happens when all your heroes are old. Clearly death is something that we all need to come to terms with.
Whilst we try to absorb our grief, here are a few moments that Alan Rickman gifted us – from the Sherriff of Nottingham to Colonel Brandon to Severus Snape*.
Also, here’s that time we did a press conference with him (alongside Colin Firth and Cameron Diaz) ahead of the release of Gambit in 2012.
