M. Night Shyamalan was responsible for some of the most talked about thrillers of the late 90s/early 2000s. Bruce Willis, made famous by the Die Hard series, starred in Shyamalan's most famous directorial work, The Sixth Sense, and went onto star in the filmmaker's dark fantasy drama Unbreakable.

Since then, Shyamalan has worked with a range of leading actors, from Mel Gibson (Signs), Bryce Dallas Howard (The Village) to Will Smith (After Earth). Now, however, Shyamalan is reuniting with the man that helped make The Sixth Sense a hit.

According to Deadline, Willis plans to take a role in the director's upcoming drama Labour of Love. The script was originally considered by Twentieth Century Fox in the early 1990s but the project became delayed due to conflicts over who should direct.

In recent years Shyamalan has made a number of critical and commercial failures, the latest being science fiction film After Earth, which was released last year. It is not currently known when Labour of Love will be released.
