The stars were strutting along the red carpet yesterday evening, as the cast of “The Harry Hill Movie” met in Leicester Square, London for the world premiere.
The first to arrive was Harry Hill himself, driving straight down the red carpet in the small car featured in the film. True to his style, the car was adorned with a Christmas tree for the festive season. The rest of the cast made their way along the barriers over the next hour, posing for photographs and signing autographs for adoring fans.
The movie shows us just what happens when Harry Hill goes on a road trip to Blackpool with his “petrol-drinking” Nan (Julie Walters), straight after finding out his hamster only has one week left to live. Along his journey, he falls in love with a “shell person” (Sheridan Smith), and the film culminates with a fight at the top of Blackpool Tower. The fight is between Harry and his evil twin (Matt Lucas) who were separated at birth.
The comedy film was directed by Steve Bendelack, with the script written by Harry Hill, Jon Foster, and James Lamont. Inbetweeners star Simon Bird is featured in the movie, along with Jim Broadbent and Marc Wootton.
Others guests attending last night’s premiere included Holby City’s Tina Hobley and Bill Oddie.
