2018 has been a serious year for fashion. From Rihanna's Pope look at the Met Gala to Dua Lipa's princess gown at the Brits, celebs have been more daring and outlandish with their red carpet looks than ever before.

We've rounded up our favourite celebrity looks of the year - because 2018 served up some serious style sensations, and they deserve to be celebrated.

When it comes to the Met Gala Rihanna is known for her show-stopping looks, and this year she took the Heavenly Bodies theme to church in a decadent outfit that can only be described as ‘Pope-Chic’.

The pearl and crystal embellished Maison Margiela gown divided opinions among fashion critics... but as with everything Rihanna wears, we loved it!

Princess Eugenie

Princess Eugenie’s second wedding dress (yep, she had two) by designer Zac Posen was apparently inspired by "the blush of an English rose". It’s so beautiful and classy it left people swooning all around the globe when pictures were released.

It’s a dress that will certainly go down in royal fashion history.

In June Felicity Hayward (aka the Queen of promoting self-love)  rocked up to a Pretty Little Thing event in a glorious see-through polka dot mesh dress. It divided opinions on Instagram, but we think she looked amazing!

Dazzling in silver a-symmetric Versace, Jennifer Lopez killed it (as always) at the 2018 VMA’s. Glittery and embellished with crystals it's one of our all-time favourite J-Lo looks!

Jim Chapman

There’s no denying it, Jim Chapman always looks good in a tux and there was no exception at this year's BAFTAs. Wearing Joshua Kane, the King of tuxedos walked the red carpet in this dreamy velvet number.

Dua Lipa

Looking as if she’d just tumbled out of a fairytale, Dua Lipa made a striking entrance at the Brit awards in this extravagant pink princess style dress designed by Giambattista Valli.

This year Janelle Monae came out as queer, and in June wore this ruffled rainbow dress from Nicolas Jebran to the BET awards. It’s a dress that serves as an incredible celebration of Pride month and is possibly our most iconic red carpet look of 2018.

Luke Sabbat

Everything Luke Sabbat wears is a look, and quite frankly, his whole 2018 wardrobe should be on this list. Here he is looking dapper for a Christian Dior dinner wearing a blood red Dior Homme suit.

Bachelorette outfits usually involve garish T-shirts with the words ‘bride tribe’ emblazoned on the back (*shudders*), but Priyanka Chopra ditched the tees and slayed in a feathered sleeved dress by Georges Chakra. Proving bachelorette outfits can (and always should) be glam.

Penélope Cruz

Having been unveiled as the new face of Chanel, Penélope Cruz looked quintessentially Parisian in a gorgeous pink tweed outfit accessorized with a white beret at the Chanel Couture show in Paris.
