It's the season of change and SS17 is looking to prove that the one-piece can be just as flattering as the bikini – and so far, it’s winning me over.

There’s so much more to a swimsuit than that old Speedo cossie you used to dread peeling on for your weekly childhood lessons. And this summer’s trends are looking to turn you from your bikini mix-and-match set, to the renewed and, that’s right, sexy all-in-one.

Not convinced? Take a look at my top picks from these season-starters, and see if you can resist the pull of the pool!

High Leg Drop Side Swimsuit, Missguided, £18.00

For a classically simple, yet timeless look, why not go for this stylish one-tone swimsuit. Boasting a highleg cut on the bottom, and low drop side to give a sexy side-split effect, this swimsuit is anything but boring. Sold in two shades: White and Red.

Polynesia Floral Swimsuit, Boux Avenue, £35.00

Breakout that bikini body - this effortless sexy swimsuit contrasts a hibiscuses floral pattern with a deep plunging neckline. The halterneck tie gives a backless effect with high-waisted bikini-style bottoms.

Pink Feather Print Swimsuit, River Island, £38.00

For something a little more structured, without compromising on style, why not take the plunge in this tribal print one-piece from River Island? With flattering cut-out detail, this pretty-in-pink swimsuit is fully supported with padded cups and under-wiring.

Slogan Swimsuits, Missguided, £18.00

Taking the slogan t-shirt trend to the pool-side, these sassy swimsuits would be perfect the choice for summer pool-parties. Wear under jeans or (dare I say it) shorts before making the great reveal! Choose your slogan to match your locks from: Brunettes Do It Better, Blondes Have More Fun (very true…!) and Red Hair Don’t Care.

Out From Under Printed Swimsuit, Urban Outfitters, £60.00

In true GiGiXTommy Hilfilger style, this bright contrast swimsuit has a scooped neckline and high-cut bikini line to accentuate those long legs. To complete the look, team up with a pair of retro sunny’s and a high ponytail.

MINKPINK Just Peachy Swimsuit, Urban Outfitters, £55.00

If you’re on the prowl for something a little different, this gorgeous one-piece just screams class and finesse. Halter-neck with a creative difference and a pretty tie at the back, this stunning peachy-coloured swimsuit is sure to turn heads for all the right reasons.

Green Floral Mesh Swimsuit, River Island, £38.00

Keeping in with the trends this suit has a lot going for it with both mesh inserts, and a tropical flower print to keep you really on-fleek. This one-piece is another good buy if you’re looking for a little more structure; with proper fasteners at the back, moulded cups and under-wiring.

 Reversible Swimsuit, TopShop, £30.00

If you’re one of those people who bores easily of wearing the same swimsuit day-in-day-out this might just be the cossie for you. This flattering v-neck swimsuit is reversible, electric blue on the one side and a figure hugging black on the other.

Snake and Leopard Print Swimsuit, TopShop, £32.00

In an eye-catching shade of electric blue, this mixed-print swimsuit has a modest plunge-cut neckline on the one side, with a sexy backless reverse. Eye-catching, and oh-so desirable, this swimsuit is a fashion showstopper to finish off your 2017 summer wardrobe.
