The 8 Best Beauty Products of 2016

Share This Article:

It’s been another year brimming with major makeup envy. Whether we’ve lusted over YoutTube vlogs or scraped together the remainders of our loans to purchase those of-the-moment must-have cosmetics, us beauty lovers have been spoilt for choice throughout 2016.

But, however hard it was to whittle down, here we have a complete list of our eight forerunners for this year’s best beauty products for you to sneakily add to your list before Santa arrives, or else seek out in the Boxing Day sales.

1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit Ultimate Glow

Our cheekbones have been popping in 2016 as we’ve celebrated the year of the glow: and this shimmery highlight palette has certainly got us there.  We’re all about that glazed donut look, and the truth is nothing else can make our faces sparkle the way Anastasia does. Life-changing stuff.

Cult Beauty, £44.00

2. Kylie Jenner Bronze Kyshadow Palette

We saw the star release her famous lip kits at the back-end of last year, and her make-up brand has dramatically soared since then. Her Kyshadow is wearable, durable and not to mention the velvety bronze shades match Kylie’s usual day-to-day make-up look. Who wouldn't want that?

Kylie Cosmetics, $42.00

3. Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Blush

After swooning over Daisy, we were thrilled to see the launch of the Dream Blush Edition in February. Its scent is ultra sweet, flowery and girly - and not to mention it made our dressing tables look as pretty as a picture. Big love Marc Jacobs.

The Fragrance Shop, £54.00

4.  Revolution Pro Fix Setting Spray.

We’ve had mad respect for Revolution with its high quality and cheap as chips price tags this year, but its setting spray has massively stolen our hearts. At only a fiver, a few spritz of this after applying our slap has us set for the day. Plus it smells great and dries ultra fast. Makeup-bag ESSENTIAL.

Superdrug, £5.00

5. Spectrum The Bomb Shell Brush Set.

We were so in awe of these incredible brushes and their totally insta-worthy pearly case we decided to dismiss the expense. Have you ever seen anything as pretty in your life? Spectrum is always pulling out the stops with their glam clams, but this September edition trumps them all. Fit for a princess.

Spectrum, £79.99

6. NYX Professional Makeup Highlight and Contour Pro Palette.

Contouring has become second nature to most make-up lovers this year, with sculpting basically becoming part of our every day routine. This NYX palette has been one of our best though- with it’s good value for money and ability to give us those Kim-K worthy cheekbones. Did someone say flawless?

Boots, £18.00

7. Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Mascara

Super full and lush-looking brows have been all the rage this year- and this gem has been our faithful sidekick for 2016. It’s allowed us to keep our brows looking neat and slick but maintaining their shape: it’s not clumpy or heavy too. 10/10 all-round.

Superdrug, £4.99

8. Topshop Lips in Phantom

Topshop lippies never let us down with their boss-ass colours and long-lasting stain. 2016 saw us all unleash our inner vamp queen as we dared go darker than ever before, and Topshop gave us exactly what we needed with this moody shade.

Topshop, £8.00
