If there is one thing guaranteed to be found in almost everyone’s wardrobe, it’s denim.
Whether it’s your faithful skinny jeans, an oversized jacket, or a button-up shirt, you want to get as much wear as possible out of your denim fashion favourites. British denim brand Blue Collar Worker’s AW14 collection offers a range of investment denim pieces, promising superior quality as well as style.
Tired with the seemingly endless sea of over-styled European and West Coast American jeans brands, the Blue Collar Worker team decided to launch a small, functional, workwear-inspired jeans range.
The brand’s AW14 collection features an evolution of its signature British workwear line, using finest ring-spun denims across a range of garments inspired by traditional workwear pieces. Putting a modern twist on vintage 1930s, ‘40s and ‘50s influences, the collection stays true to the utilitarian nature of the fabric, while also offering style that is at once current and timeless.
Take, for instance, a trusty denim jacket – a classic transitional piece that you can throw on over just about anything, Blue Collar Worker’s 'Builder' jacket is made from high quality deep-dyed raw denim designed to last a lifetime, with an RRP of £100.
For keeping the cold at bay, check out the brand’s proofed cotton coats, denim over-shirts, checked work shirts and indigo jersey wear.
This premium range is limited to a run of 150 pairs per style, with each pair of jeans bearing an individually hand-embroidered number and, in a nod to working times gone by, coming with a free copper ‘snuff box’ coin case.
The brand focuses on the functionality, construction and internal finishing of each garment, ensuring that each piece is of the highest quality and will stand the test of time.
Raw, unwashed denim products are intended to wear over time, so your Blue Collar Worker piece will evolve into a wardrobe favourite that is as unique as you are!
