We’ve all been there; it’s 9am and the sun has got his hat on, you throw on your favourite shorts and sandals – then, two hours later, the sun is laughing at you from behind a huge and hideous cloud that is enjoying the shower of all showers while you, of course, are stuck with soggy feet and streaked make-up, sans umbrella. With our fickle British climate changing its mind multiple times on a daily basis, it can be difficult to decide what to wear each morning. However, with Forecast My Fashion - the site that offers outfit advice tailored to the London forecast - you can now always be prepared, whatever the weather! Forecast My Fashion is the brainchild of Nicola von Bratt, a British textile designer who moved to Cape Town in 2007 and, with an almost certain sense of déjà vu, found that dressing for the city’s unpredictable, changeable weather conditions was something of a dilemma – sound familiar, students of Britain? Nicola’s habit of checking the next day’s weather forecast each night sparked an idea, and led her to create Forecast My Fashion; a one-stop daily style assistance service, helping residents of Cape Town, Johannesburg and now London to dress fashionably, and affordably, whatever the weather. Outfit inspirations are presented every day and are suited to the forecasted weather conditions. For today’s forecast (Monday 17th February - product details can be found here), Nicola has the following style advice: "Combine feminine shapes with classics, such as the striped jumper and soft pleated denim skirt with bow detail. Woollen tights and leather ankle boots are staple pieces to pair with skirts in winter, keeping you warm in cold, wet conditions while also being on trend. Accessorise your winter's day look with an accent of colour and contrasting patterns – this cosy scarf completes your look perfectly.’ For daily outfit suggestions tailored to the London forecast, visitors to the site should sign up via forecastmyfashion.com or the Forecast My Fashion Facebook page.
