Heading to university this Autumn? Well, ASOS has come up with an incredible idea to help you find out what’s cool in your city – introducing, ASOS: Student Lowdown!

From 7th October 2013, online fashion and beauty retailer ASOS is heading to university campuses across the UK to create five fanzine films exploring the essence of each location.  They’ll be exploring the style, music, culture, nightlife and, most importantly, the people from each of these areas:

Leeds – 7th October

Manchester– 9th October

Newcastle – 11th October

Brighton – 14th October

Birmingham – 17th October

ASOS is working with Little Dot Productions and Maverick TV to bring the hottest new Youtube talent to these cities: Lily Pebbles, James Hill, Laura Jackson, Will Best and Yasmin Evans will all be involved with this exciting new project, and you can be too.  They are looking for students with big personalities, who are up for a laugh, to take part in filming on campus.  If you fancy a slice of the action, or know someone that would, get in touch with ASOS Lowdown representatives at asoslowdown@mavericktv.co.uk .

As well as the films, ASOS is launching the ASOS Rail Race; a treasure hunt around campus, where students will need to discover ‘hotspots’ to unlock prizes!  There will be thousands of pounds worth of ASOS fashion and beauty items up for grabs, photo-booths and fun activities to get involved with.

To take part in this awesome treasure hunt, students need to register their details on www.asosrailrace.com from 1st October.  On each ASOS Lowdown day, students can log in and the app will guide you to locate the students and their five hotspot hang-out locations across the university campus and city. Players will be given clues about each hotspot, but will have to move quickly to win one of fifty new season outfits! The fifty students with the fastest time that day will win an entire outfit, while there will also be experiential hotspots where entrants can discover activities such as the ASOS photo booth, and some lovely little treats thrown in along the way.

Expect music performances, pranks and chats with the coolest, most fashionable students in your city encouraging their fellow students to get involved with the fun.  Be a part of possibly the coolest thing ever to happen on your campus by entering ASOS’s competitions, shopping the student edit and reading more about the campaign at the Lowdown hub on ASOS.com.
