Beg to differ Productions introduced several new and exciting acts to Theatre N16 last week with #BESTLIFE.

The theatre company, set up by two recent drama school graduates, brought together an evening of new writing, music, comedy and sketches.

Acts included the charming northern tones of Emma Swan, half of comedy duo Hadfield and Swan. She brought the audience none stop giggles with her musical tales of a northern lass lost in London and the power of a good old Yorkshire cuppa’.

Another comedy stand out was the sketch comedy duo Shelf. Rachel Downe and Ruby Clyde burst onto the stage and lit up the room with their charm and hilarity. Absolutely a stand out act of the entire show.

New writing highlights include d #FXXK18 an exciting and physical ensemble spoken word piece that took you from the paradise and party of Ayia Napa to the love triangle of Madam Bollox, (Oliver Lintott), Lord Had’em (Matthew Roberts) and Lady Fxxk it (Lauren Cornelius). A hilarious and up beat way to end. This crazy tale was filled with incredible energy from all involved.

Blow directed by Jack Silver tacked representation and diversity within the arts. Achieved through song, some billboards and a wonderfully heartfelt signing monologue by Libby Welsh. A poignant and thought-provoking piece.

Beg to Differ has been set up by Lauren Cornelius and Bella Nash to bring together some fantastic upcoming artists and give a place to share and celebrate new work. This was an evening filled with excitement and talent.
