Decorating your uni room whilst staying within the guidelines set down in your contract can be a nightmare – luckily though, we’ve enlisted some professional advice.

Interior Designer and TV presenter Sophie Robinson has tips on everything from bringing light into a room to contrasting textures and adding colour, as well as tricks of the trade on how to organise and utilise your space.

And with new research revealing that a third of renters have lost money after making changes that their landlord later billed them for, we think her advice could be more than a little bit useful.

Her guidance has been approved by the National Landlord Association too, so you can guarantee getting your deposit back if you follow these tips.
