The avocado isn’t just popular for it delicious taste, but when eaten the fruit contains a number of wonderful health benefits. From preventing breast cancer to lowering your cholesterol levels, it’s no wonder the avo has become so famous.

Based in Liberty Station (a historic waterfront urban village), a pop-up museum will grace San Diego for only three months, starting June 2018.

“The Cado” will focus on locally-grown California avocados offering knowledge and interactive art exhibitions all about the avocado. Featuring seven rooms, each built from shipping containers, the idea for the photogenic mobile structure was brought to light by sisters Anna Buehner and Mary Carr.

If you ever thought about expanding your avo intelligence, then this is your chance. Experience the avocado like never before with the full history of the famous millennial fruit and treat your taste buds to avocado mini bites. All whilst gaining cultural artistic knowledge about the delicious creamy fruit.

Co-founder Mary Carr gave an insight into the sisters' thinking behind the museum: “We saw a chance to incorporate a deeper element of learning through experience and through art”.

Each exhibit will build on from the one before, providing a super interactive experience for customers.

Each trip to the pop-up will last around an hour and general admission tickets cost around $27 - it might be pricey but the avocado is certainly worth it.

So if you’re an avocado fan and you’re headed to Cali this summer, be sure not to miss out a once in a lifetime avocado opportunity. You won’t be disappointed.
