The prospect of exploring the vast exciting land of Africa can be daunting - although undeniably beautiful and filled with wildlife, the continent is large, hot, incredibly different in culture, and in some areas even dangerous. Luckily our friends over at STA Travel are making exploring Africa a little bit easier this summer, with a whole bunch of new itineraries on the continent. STA Travel's new Africa programme, which has just launched, is set to offer bespoke itineraries - including unforgettable experiences in The Cape and Winelands, and the wonders of Botswana and Victoria Falls. Options can also include searching for the Big Five in the Serengeti, driving South Africa’s famous Garden Route, and bungy jumping from Victoria Falls. Tim Fryer, STA Travel’s Product and Marketing Director, says: “ We’re incredibly excited to follow the successful Tailor Made Asia concept with Africa, where we offer a complete mix of experiences from the adventure of safari, mountains and iconic falls and the unique red sand dunes of Namibia to the stunning beaches of Zanzibar and a taste of Cape Town’s cosmopolitan V&A Waterfront. There really is an itinerary that can be built for each customer.” Those who usually avoid group trips with a fear of being told what to see and do need not worry: “For us the biggest benefit of tailor-made travel is that freedom to DIY your own trip,” says Tim. “Everyone has a different idea of how they want their experience to be, whether that be following a backpacker trail, elements of a more traditional tour, dug out canoes or wine tasting and Big Five spotting. Our experts will guide on planning and booking that very trip, adding and leaving out elements to suit." Sounds good to us. Find out more here.
