We’re used to the standard university league table by now – we know who comes top, who languishes at the bottom, and probably where our own university roughly sits amongst the 200-odd that Britain boasts.
Yeah, no need to brag...
But although standard university league tables are based on student responses, we can’t help but feel that there’s a bit of something missing from them.
What if you want to know about the quality of accommodation, for example? Or nightlife? Or what the interview process is like for postgrads? Or even whether the campus is aesthetically pleasing (because yes, that is important)?
There are tonnes of questions that we need answers to when it comes to picking the right uni and getting the most out of it whilst we’re there, and traditional league tables that measure student/staff ratios and UCAS points aren’t always going to cut it.
Luckily, a new site is hoping to sort the answers to these questions for us – and giving us the opportunity to review our university for those who are considering it at the same time.
CampusAdvisor uses polls and ratings to rank unis on the things that matter most – from campus facilities to social life and course content.
It’s basically peer reviewing for universities, and lets you find out much needed – and honest – info for yourself.
There are a few different things you can do on CampusAdvisor – here’s what they are:
Review your university, including the interview process, your course, the campus, or any work placements
Compare reviews from five different unis and courses
Find and apply for internships, placements and jobs
Read blogs and articles written by current undergrads
Share lecture notes which can be tagged by specific university/course
Create polls, that can also be tagged by uni/course
Win prizes if you rate frequently enough
To make CampusAdvisor the go-to place for future students to learn what uni is really like, the site needs people to sign up and leave a review for their course, campus, or university in general.
Sign up and leave a review for your university before 4th March and you could win a £50 Nandos gift-card - an early treat before the Easter eggs start rolling in!
Go on, you know you want to...
