Oh my pies, a group of Birmingham students took over a Greggs last night and had a party

A Greggs store in Birmingham swapped pasties for partying last night when it transformed into an exclusive nightclub for students.
Yes you did read that correctly. Dubbed the Ministry of Greggs, the one night only event saw clubbers dancing along to the latest hits while waving sausage rolls in the air like they just didn’t care.
The party which, had a select invite-only guest list, was organised after Nikki Gardner from the University of Birmingham asked her local bakery to combine her two favourite things - a night out and steak bakes - and oh boy did Greggs deliver.
‘Any chance of having a party in your shop to get all my friends back together since coming back to uni? We LOVE Greggs,’ the pasty fiend cheekily posted on Greggs’ official Facebook page.
For some reason, the bakery agreed to Nikki’s crazy idea and kitted out her local city centre store in just three hours with a sound system, club lighting and confetti cannons - the place looked insane.
To top if off Greggs even arranged for local radio DJ Dan Kelly and Birmingham Uni’s DJ society to perform sets, turning the humble high street retailer into a proper Greggs-ified pop-up nightclub.
Around 50 clubbers danced the night away while scoffing copious amounts of pastry products and drinking alcohol, all of which was provided on the house courtesy of Greggs, the lucky rascals.
One guy even got proper into the event and turned up dressed as a pasty.
It looks like a wild night. - we bet students across the country are wishing they'd got an invite! If you can contain your envy, check out the video of the night below: Ministry of Greggs from Taylor Herring on Vimeo.
