Smart drugs are a fact of student life, with one in four students supposedly using them to succeed.

ModifinilModafinil, the most popular smart drug, has been proven to increase brain power and ability to think, but the widespread use raises a number of medical and ethical questions that hangs a huge question mark over whether they a good thing.

Are they safe? Is taking them cheating? Do they actually make you more productive in the long run?

Liam Kay’s new short documentary delves into what students really think about smart drugs, and looks at the reality of taking them to improve performance. Kay lays this reality out by taking Modafinil himself and filming the results.
