After a triumphant return to the live music scene earlier in 2018 with their Grand Reopening tour, Drenge have released their latest single ‘Fades To Black’.

Described by the band as “Perfect for stomping around town with a huge sulk on”, 'Fades To Black' is a standalone single taken from the forthcoming EP Autonomy, set to be released next month.

Despite hailing from the sleepy Peak District town of Castleton, the new single is anything but tiresome, inciting a socially aware analysis of the changing UK urban landscape. “Memories knocked down and turned into flats” echoes a feeling of isolation as music venues and social spaces are being destroyed in favour of chain restaurants, luxury flats and student accommodation.

This is all gifted in a three minute-long track that encapsulates the electrifyingly moody lo-fi vibe - something that has streamed through the veins of Drenge’s music since the day of their first release.

Autonomy is set to release on the 5th of October. Listen to 'Fade To Black' now.
