Women (and men) marched across the world this weekend – from Boston to Madrid, and from Manchester to Stockholm, and from London to Washington DC to Los Angeles.

As estimated turnout of more than a million in the home of US politics, Washington DC, was joined by 175,000 in Boston, 100,000 in London, and many more hundreds of thousands from Japan to South America to Australia.

It’s estimated that more than 600 separate marches took place in cities across the world to protest the inauguration of Donald Trump as the 45th US president on Friday.

Here are our favourite photographs from a weekend of always passionate, often sweary, entirely unfiltered activism.
