Political cartoons are supposed to make you stop, laugh and then cry a bit at how real it is – which is *kinda* what this one for the New Yorker is doing. Cartoonist Will McPhail drew a scene on a plane where an average, inexperienced-looking guy stands up and convinces all the other passengers that he’d be better equipped to be in control of the thing that’s keeping them in the air. Now while that does sound familiar, many people aren’t convinced what it infers is entirely accurate. Some have even seen it as an attack on anti-establishment Bernie Sanders. However, there are also lots of people who think it’s great. Poor Will, Twitter can be a scary place.
