A singing toilet to celebrate World Toilet Day? Well, why not...

One of the most unexpected things to fall into our inbox this month was a singing toilet, extolling the virtues of a fully functioning flush. This doesn’t happen too much, and we were intrigued as to why it had in this case. As it turns out, the aptly named Louie the Loo exists to promote WaterAid’s World Toilet Day – 19th November – when attention is brought to the fact that 2.5 billion people globally are currently living without sanitation. That’s one in three of the world’s population, and somewhere on Earth a child dies every minute because they don’t have access to a working toilet. Also, more people in the world have a mobile phone than a toilet. In the 21st Century, we find this fact mindboggling. So, Louie the Loo has a serious message. Watch him sing his song here: #ThankYouToilet @WaterAidUK www.facebook.com/wateraid www.wateraid.org
