Whether you're moving house, moving into new university accommodation or just love a good nosy at how other people decorate their homes, Instagram is the best platform to perfectly visualise a concept or room design.

Every person has their own style and likes certain items or themes for their home, but if you haven't developed your own yet or you're in limbo - have no fear. Searching hashtags on Instagram, resulting in your 'explore' page being full of home decor, truly gets my creative mind flowing.

So today was a super exciting day because a new sofa arrived! Last month I went on to the @harveyshq website and used their Sofas By You online product to create a sofa exactly to my specifications. Obvs the artichoke green velvet chesterfield won out amidst some fierce competition Over the next week or so I'll be telling you more about this super versatile service on my blog but for now, here it is looking gorgeous Right, now to keep the pesky kittens off it #sofasbyyou #harveysfurniture #sofa #livingroom #gallerywall #art #gallery #green #velvet #livingroomdecor #interior #interiors #interiordecor #interiorstyle #interiorstyling #myhomevibe #apartmenttherapy #atmine #interior4all #currentdesignsituation #bohodecor #myfabhome #beautifulhomes #interiorinspo #interior_design #interiorinspiration #homeinspo #interiordetails #interiores #ad

Lisa Dawson is a UK interior designer and blogger, her Instagram shows snippets of her own home as well as others that fit the similar style and encourages inspiration. Mostly, her account fits a minimalist backdrop that can be filled with personality. Think photographs all over bold blank walls, or crazy amounts of colourful cushions and throws to make a home cute and bursting with colour.

Tobias (@edgarwerner)

Where Lisa's account throws in colour and cutesy qualities that probably give more of a feminine look, Tobias follows the similar minimalist Scandinavian look, incorporating bamboo, wooden floors, plants and a consistent white wash. This look is perfect if you aren't sure what you want yet, as it gives a base to build on or to just cram plants and artisan/industrial furniture.

Shauna Glenn (@shaunaglenn)

Shauna's account is similar to Lisa's, as it incorporates her own home and others in the same style, with bold colours in furniture and ornaments on a white washed background. But a few key items featured in this account have spurred on my own style with patterned, decorated furniture such as drawers and dressers. They're such a cool way to spruce up an old piece and turn it into a key feature of a room.

Sally & Anna (@greenandmustard)

Sally and Anna's Instagram account covers a lot of different styles, their account definitely inspires a variety of people in one place. Covering trends such as minimalist, colour blasts, retro, 'bachelor pads' and botanical themed rooms.

 Kelly Vittengl (@francesloom)

A fab fab fab #francesloominthewild moment from @prairie_home_styling! I looooove me a rug in the kitchen. #francesloom

Kelly's look is a lot more homely than others. Her furniture is old fashioned yet with a modern twist, full of vintage traditional rugs all over the house. Additionally, items are worn down and made homely giving a stylish use of old antiques and modern qualities.

Emily Katz (@emily_katz)

Back at my favorite place in Copenhagen...

A post shared by Emily Katz (@emily_katz) on

Like Emily's friend's home in Copenhagen, a lot of her account is focused on bohemian style interior, home made decorations from wool and wood and unique finds from around the world. The style is very raw and natural, with dark and softer colours amongst light backgrounds and woods along with plants everywhere. Basically, plants are a must in any home.

Jennifer (@amerrymishap)

Large scale comfort for days, the sofa I styled for @joybird is a lot like sitting in a giant pillow. #joybird #ad

A post shared by JENNIFER (@amerrymishap) on

Jennifer's Instagram is the epitome of minimalist: white, grey, black and a dash of pale wood. The minimalist style has been adapted in many ways but Jennifer sticks true to the concept and focuses on what it means. There is a lack of colour and items, everything is stylish and well placed and extremely aesthetically pleasing to scroll through.

Kelly (@let_there_be_white)

Shabby chic is a style that comes in waves, soft tones of grey and white combined with French antiques and rustic-like storage units and coffee tables. Grand bed frames and up-cycled furniture are a massive part of this look, rejuvenating old pieces into a fresher style.
